Latin:Elderberry

Description: Elderberry functions in a variety of biological processes. The processes include maintaining the integrity of the immune system. Along with this function, the chances of contracting an infection is reduced. The integrity of the blood is also maintained with the use of elderberry. This herb also works well as an antioxidant.

Parts Used: berries, leaves, bark, roots, and flowers

Common Use: The gastrointestinal tract is eased when this herb is present. This will allow for some relief from constipation. Elevated fevers may be reduced. Other aspects of inflammation are also alliviated.
