Description: Adrenal Concentrate is a glandular product. Glands are the organs responsible for secretions. The adrenal gland is called an endocrine gland because it is a ductless gland releasing secretions directly into the bloodstream. Glandulars are not technically endocrine glands, they are extracts retrieved from different organs. Beef is the best source of glandulars. The adrenal extract is derived from the adrenal gland. This gland is located above the kidneys and is composed of two parts. One part is the adrenal medulla, which is responsible for the secretion of epinephrine and norepinephrine (hormones) and plays a role in the sympathetic nervous system. The hormones mentioned above are reliable for the fight-or-flight response. The other component of the adrenal gland is the adrenal cortex, which secretes a category of hormones called corticosteroids. There are three major groups of these hormones which are derived from cholesterol; however, they all have different functions. Glucocorticoids include cortisol, cortisone, and corticosterone. These hormones are able to decrease inflammation and enhance the amount of serum glucose. Another category of the corticosteroids are the mineralcorticoids which includes aldosterone. This hormone is able to promote the retention of sodium while increasing the excretion of potassium. The last group of corticosteroids are the 17-ketosteroids, the sex hormones. Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a male sex hormone that is primarily produced from the adrenal.

Absorption/Storage :

Dosage/Toxicity: To prevent restlessness, insomnia or any other stimulant condition, gradually work your way up to what is recommended on the label. Take smaller doses at first. Large amounts of the extract may cause the conditions listed above. Before taking product, you are advised to consult with a trained health care professional.

Deficiency:

Common Uses: Taking adrenal extract may enhance the fight-or-flight response. This may impact the amount of stress that one is experiencing. When taken in the appropriate dosage, adrenal extract is able to regulate the amount of stress.

Precautions: Consult a physician if pregnant, symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, or dizziness last more than a week, or if new symptoms appear.
