Description: Linoleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid. Humans are unable to synthesize this fatty acid; therefore, it is considered essential. Linoleic acid is in a category of essential fatty acids called omega-6 fatty acids. Sources of Linoleic acid include canola, peanut, sunflower, soybean, safflower, and cottonseed oil.
